Schools Orienteering

SEVO run training events for both primary and secondary school students in the autumn term (September to December) leading to the South East Schools competition in February/March and the Irish Schools competition (ISOC) in April/May. Teachers are encouraged to participate in the Ready to Go courses to bring their pupils up to speed with the sport of orienteering before they come to one of the SEVO training events. Teaching resources and more information about training for teachers can be found here.

SEVO have worked closely with Local Sports Partnerships and OPW sites in the South East to provide Permanent Orienteering courses and Maprun virtual orienteering, which can be utilized by schools for training purposes.
